A regional court is a judicial body established within specific geographical areas to adjudicate legal disputes and uphold the rule of law. These courts handle a wide range of cases, including civil, criminal, family, and economic law, and are responsible for interpreting and applying regional laws. In some jurisdictions, such as South Africa, regional courts are part of a broader court system that includes lower-level courts.

A regional court is a type of judicial body that typically handles cases within a specific geographic area, often serving as an intermediate court between lower local courts and higher appellate courts. These courts generally have jurisdiction over civil and criminal matters, with the authority to hear appeals from lower courts. Their structure and function can vary by country, but they typically aim to ensure access to justice and uphold the rule of law within their designated regions.
